Welcome to Centre 2024, participants !
The Peace Palace Library welcomes all participants of the Centre for Studies and Research of The Hague Academy of International Law, 19 August – 6 September 2024. The coming three weeks, the Library will serve as the Centre's ‘home library’, providing the participants with access to all books, articles, essays and documentation on international law available in either print or electronic format.
Visiting the Library upon Registration
The Library is open: Monday till Friday from 09:00 a.m. - 17:00 p.m. A reservation for each visit, including to just return a book, is compulsory. It is not permissible to return books at the Security Gate.
Reserve a time slot via the online form, prior to each visit. You will receive an email confirmation of your registration which you must show to the Security Officer at the gate of the Peace Palace. Your registration contains your name, your address and the number on the Library Card. We only allow patrons with an active membership of the Library to visit us. If you are a first-time visitor, you will need to register for a Library Card in advance and to show your email confirmation at the security officer at the gate. You will not be granted access to the Library if you have not registered in advance. We kindly request all visitors to arrive at the Security Gate on your scheduled date and time. Upon arrival, you have to present a valid Photo- ID (pass port / EU ID Card), your Library Card and the email confirmation of your registration. The Security Officer is authorized to deny access in case you arrive at a date and time not in accordance with the system.
