Library Catalogue

The Peace Palace Library has collected international law publications since 1913. The collection of the Library has expanded immensely over the last 108 years and now includes over one million volumes. The Library's collection is searchable through the Syndeo Catalogue which uses our own unique keywords and classifies not only (e)-books and electronic (journal) articles according to their subject, but also book items. Please use our online Syndeo Catalogue to conduct your research.

If you would like to make a request for an item in our catalogue, you must become a member of the Peace Palace Library.

PPL Discovery

You can also access our Catalogue through PPL Discovery, part of WorldCat Discovery. By default, all PPL titles that are included in WorldCat Discovery are searched for only. After you have performed the search, the results of the Peace Palace Library are shown. If you choose for the option Libraries Worldwide under Held by Library (column on the left) you will also find titles that are not part of the PPL Collection. You can obtain these through other libraries or via Interlibrary Loan (ILL).

WorldCat

WorldCat Discovery is a cloud-based application that helps people easily find resources available at our Library and in libraries worldwide through a single search. Library Users can use their WorldCat Discovery to search the WorldCat database, to identify materials they need, and to see where they are available.

WorldCat is the world's largest bibliographic database and offers access to more than 1.8 billion electronic, digital and physical sources. When you find a title, you immediately see the availability information. You can see both the total number of copies and the location of one of the copies. If more copies are available, you can see all locations by clicking on the title.
