The Peace Palace Library extends its gratitude to Professor Hugo Cardona and Professor Nikos Lavranos for donating the paperback edition of the European Investment Law and Arbitration Review (EILAR).
EILAR is the first and only journal specifically dedicated to the increasingly important and evolving field of European investment law and arbitration. The Review focuses on the impact of recent developments on investor-State dispute settlement (ISDS), bilateral investment treaties (BITs), the Energy Charter Treaty (ECT), and the EU’s new generation trade and investment agreements.
In addition, the Review covers topics such as the work of UNCITRAL Working Group III on ISDS reform, the impact of international environmental law on investment law, the interaction between investment screening laws and investment arbitration, the interplay between sanctions and investment law, and compliance with ISDS awards.
This valuable resource provides essential analysis for both scholars and practitioners involved in investment treaty law and arbitration, including in-house counsel, party representatives, arbitrators, mediators, adjudicators, corporate advisors, third-party funders, government officials, and academics.
Each issue contains:
- Scholarly articles (both in-depth analyses and brief evaluative essays) on recent developments in international investment law;
- Case-notes on proceedings and decisions that affect the European investment law and arbitral practice;
- Book reviews of the latest publications in the field; and
- A Chronicle section summarizing recent developments focusing on investment law and arbitration.
