Recently, the Library welcomed a group of students from Hamburg University Law Faculty who were preparing for the Jessup Moot Court Competition. They informed us of another interesting project they initiated titled ‘Outstanding Women of International, European and Constitutional Law’. The purpose of the project is to make outstanding women and their important contributions to the development of the national and international legal system visible and more widely known. To this end they created an English-language calendar which includes some very well-known women from the international legal community in The Hague.
The Peace Palace Library supports initiatives that highlight the contributions of women to the (international) legal field and by sharing this, we hope it will inspire others to embark on similar initiatives.
