Book Launch 'International Criminal Law Investigations: Law and Practice"

Abstract

On March 8th, the Peace Palace Library and Eleven International Publishing hosted a book launch to celebrate Eleven’s most recent publication titled International Criminal Law Investigations: Law and Practice. The first copy of the book was presented to the honourable Fatou Bensouda, Chief Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court who delivered the keynote speech. The book launch was follwed by a panel discussion.

The book - the first of its kind - is a resource book on selected topics assessing more than twenty years of international criminal investigations. It explores, from the perspective of the expert practitioners, a thematic approach to important issues such as investigative strategies, planning and interview techniques for specific witnesses, financial investigations, while incorporating the personal experiences of those who have served as pioneers in this field. A necessary addition to the literature on international criminal law in practice, this volume meaningfully contributes to increased knowledge of the science and art involved in international criminal investigations.
