The Library has acquired exquisite copies of Hugo Grotius's 'Mare liberum' 1633 (TMD 546) and 'Inleydinge tot de Hollandsche Rechts-Geleertheyt' (TMD 776) at an auction held by Burgersdijk & Niermans, Nieuwsteeg 1, Leiden. These acquisitions are the second and third copies in our collection, respectively. The condition of the books is outstanding!
