Licensed Databases

The Digital Library largely consists of electronic content under license agreements. We have subscriptions to legal databases covering all areas of international law. They have been selected and purchased in accordance with the criteria of our Collection Profile. Library Users have access to this digital content from inside the Library's Reading Room. In most cases, no login is required, but sometimes you need a username and password, which you can get from the Service Desk. Remote access is also granted with your Library Card. Additional information about a database can be found by clicking on '[More info]'.

e-Books

The Peace Palace Library provides access to thousands of e-Books, a collection that is expanding every day. Relevant e-Books have been selected, catalogued and classified individually, just like printed books. Use 'words from the title' or 'relevant keywords' in the search bar of the Catalogue to find and read them. If there are any e-Books answering your query, you can click on the button View eBook to get access.

e-Journals

The Peace Palace Library offers a collection of almost 2500 electronic journals and reviews. In order to facilitate fast access and retrieval, we have catalogued and classified all relevant journal items (articles, essays, reviews, documents, etc.) at the time of entry. We understand the importance of being up-to-date in international law!

We proudly present our Top 200, a list of the most prominent and leading journals and reviews in international law. You will also find the most recent issues (in print) of these journals in our Reading Room showcase. The journals are written in English, French, Spanish, Italian and German.
